The August West started, humbly, 6 years ago as a way to both celebrate the music of The Grateful Dead, but also the community in and around the Jay Peak Area.
The Festival has grown a bit in size, but the intent is still the same. It's a great way to spend the day - kids and well mannered dogs are welcome, there's lots of good food and drink and plenty to do.
The Festival takes place in Jay, at the Cedarwood Resort, on the first or second weekend of August.

The 3rd Annual Jay Summer Fest in 2010 was very successful and anticipate more vendors, events and visitors for 2011. The date will soon be set for the 4th Annual Jay Summer Fest.
